Meleghy Automotive is expanding its Reinsdorf plant in order to realize a new major order from an OEM at the site. The expansion will increase the total plant area from around 25,000 square meters to 29,000 square meters. With this expansion and the investment in state-of-the-art production facilities, the company is not only securing the future viability of the site, but also long-term jobs in the region.
In addition to the expansion of space, the degree of automation is also a key component of the project. State-of-the-art technologies are being integrated into the production lines, resulting in a future-proof workplace structure and increased automation. The newly implemented technologies will expand the main areas of activity in the plant in order to meet the increasing demand for efficiency and precision.
“With the expansion and the new technologies, we are making targeted investments in the future viability of our Reinsdorf site. This not only strengthens our competitiveness, but also secures valuable jobs in the region in the long term. We are focusing on innovation and efficiency in order to meet the increasing demands of our customers and create added value for the region,” explains Oliver Diessner, Managing Director of Meleghy Automotive.
Completion of the outer shell is scheduled for mid-November 2024, and installation of the systems will begin in February 2025, which will be set up in stages to meet the requirements of the new production ramp-ups. The entire construction should be completed by the end of March 2025.
With this investment, Meleghy Automotive is sending out a strong signal for Germany and the Reinsdorf region as a production location.
