Reinsdorf, March 2024 – On Thursday, March 13, an important meeting of Saxony’s automotive suppliers took place at Meleghy Automotive’s Reinsdorf plant with Minister President Michael Kretschmer and Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Panter. The aim of the exchange was to discuss the effects of the relocation of production from the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau and to jointly develop perspectives for the industry.

As host, Meleghy Automotive provided the platform for this crucial dialog. “Our industry is facing major challenges, but we are ready to find sustainable solutions together with politicians and our partners,” emphasized Dr. Gyula Meleghy, CEO/Chairman of our company. The talks made it clear that Saxony, as an industrial location, must continue to play a leading role in automotive production. In particular, the importance of the regional value chain and the need for fair location decisions were emphasized.
