Since the end of 2019, Deutsche Anlagen Leasing (DAL) has been building a new joining plant for Meleghy Autmotive Bernsbach GmbH in the Reinsdorf industrial estate on Gabelsbergerstraße. The construction of the approximately 22,000 sqm office and factory building is on schedule.
After extensive levelling and backfilling work, the hall and office building was constructed on the approx. 57,000 sqm area. At the moment, the interior work is being started. The focus is on the production side, as the first factory areas for the production of the planned body assemblies as well as the associated equipment and necessary infrastructure are scheduled to be ready in autumn 2020. The production facilities are primarily for the manufacture of large longitudinal beams for the new MEB platforms, which are already being commissioned on a similar scale in Gera. At present, interior finishing work is already underway and the important sampling for Meleghy International’s first new building project has taken place.
The Reinsdorf plant will be the first pure plant exclusively for the joining of car body assemblies, in contrast to previous Meleghy International plants.
