A crisis seldom comes alone – press damage repair mastered

Together we are strong and successfully master even critical situations. As if the pandemic, the semiconductor problem and the Ukraine crisis were not enough challenges, we also had to deal with a major bearing failure on one of our most important presses. Several weeks of repair work were needed. The complete tooling program had to be relocated overnight to our own plants and to our market competitors without endangering deliveries to our customers. The repair work was carried out in close cooperation with Schuler AG’s service department, the heavy-duty company Hoffmann, and our own employees. After four weeks of intensive work, the successful restart of the press can be announced. Not to forget, despite the tightness in the press shop due to the repair work, the press shop had to continue working at full steam with its other presses. This only worked because everyone worked together.
