The first fully electric pool vehicle – the ID.3 First generation finds a home in Wilnsdorf
The major order for the side members and thus for important components of the VW Group’s new e-mobility platform was Meleghy Automotive’s entry into a whole new league of body construction. At the same time, we have been building for the new drive technology ever since. In addition to the side members, we are also the manufacturer of several Hut assemblies for the various vehicles of the Group’s new electric vehicles.
It all started with a major order for MEB – the entry into e-mobility!
We do not only produce for the environmentally friendly 0-CO2 emission vehicles planned by the VW Group in the long term, no, we are also working on making our company more sustainable. Our sustainable fleet management was born with the training of two employees at the Wilnsdorf location as IHK certified mobility managers. A corresponding mobility concept was created and evaluated by the IHK Hagen. The overriding goal of this concept is to reduce the CO2 emissions of the Meleghy Automotive vehicle fleet.
In mid-2019 Meleghy Automotive participated in the pre-booking for the new electric vehicle of the VW Group, the ID.3. Now the first purely electric vehicle of the group of companies for the Wilnsdorf location has been delivered and put into operation.
ID.3 Pro Performance 1st Max 150 kW
The new vehicle with a range of 426 km is to be used as a pool vehicle between the Meleghy Automotive locations Wilnsdorf, Gummersbach and Gera. In addition to the purchase of the ID.3, which replaces a discontinued combustion engine, all locations will be equipped with corresponding VW wallboxes ID.Charger Pro. The concept of the IHK-tested mobility managers is a long-term one, which means that we will replace correspondingly phased-out combustion vehicles with the new ID models next year.
