The IAA Mobility has celebrated its premiere in Munich with a new concept. The previously pure automotive trade show now shows itself as an international mobility trade show that brings together more than 1000 exhibitors and speakers in person, even in times of digitalization. Meleghy International was right in the middle of the action as part of the European High-Tech Pavilion, presenting its corporate development and most complex body assemblies to the fair visitors.
“What is interesting about the new concept is that business to business is brought together in the exhibition hall and we could stand right next to our customers Volkswagen Group, Mercedes, BMW and more booth to booth” tells Dr. Gyula Meleghy (managing partner, CEO), “this brought us closer together than before and created a better exchange platform from small to large supplier and customer.”
IAA Mobility is no longer a traditional automotive show, it is now the largest mobility show in the world, a platform for discussion and exchange around the future-moving issues that need to be addressed across industries. These include new electric cars, their powertrains and infrastructures, e-scooters, bicycles, energy policy, urban planning, infrastructure, digitalization and more. “Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in the industry and has been the content of many exhibitions and presentations. We, as a group of companies and suppliers, are also concerned with making our contribution to this” explains Dr. Gyula Meleghy, “In this regard, we are already taking the first steps by converting our vehicle fleet to electric mobility and expanding our photovoltaic systems for sustainable production.” Our Head of Sales, Oliver Diessner, shares the positive opinion of the trade fair experience. “In addition to great conversations, we were able to take the opportunity to test drive the final vehicles with our products” tells Oliver Diessner at the Volkswagen booth in ID.3 for which we produce complex platform parts. He added: “We will evaluate the experience and expand our exhibition concept for the next IAA Mobility.”
